Master Minded Idea

My husband and I like to really do things to enhance our childrens lifes like for instance taking them to Washington D.C. on vacation, taking them to the zoo, encouraging them to read and learn as much as they can and THEN have some fun along the way! Well we had this grand idea that fun would be taking our two girls to Hannah Montana. What Hannah Montana??????? They are finally at somewhat of an age where they kinda like the same things(not really but they both do like Hannah Montana).

I knew that this Hannah Montana chick was popular and but let's face it she is the daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus...can she really be all that and more? I don't think so-

Todd and I decided that we would get the tickets the day they went on sale through ticketmaster! We had this wonderfully master minded idea of how I would be on one computer and he would be on the other(yes we are the dorkola family that has four computers!)and we would try to get four tickets together or at the least 2 in one section and 2 in another. We knew they would go fast so we had this all planned out. We even went so far as having the map of the Fedex Forum printed out so we were well prepared! Yes we are total geeks!!!

So the morning comes that they go on sale. We are up early and getting prepared for our long awaited purchasing of these great tickets. I am really pumped---the thought of going to see Hannah Montana is just about more than I could stand(yeah right!! but as a parent you do what you gotta do!!!)So the tickets go on sale at 10AM--we are at the computers ready to go 10AM arrives and we are going at it...10:00:01 no tickets...WHAT? You mean they were all presold???? YEAP! You guessed it not a one available through ticketmaster! WHAT kind of racket is this? What happened to it is illegal to scalp tickets? Not anymore...go to Ebay, Ticketsnow, StubHub...whatever you prefer....seats in the top row of the Fedex Forum(for those of you who have not been this is more than the nose bleed section it is more like the stand up and you will die section it is so high)are over $300 a piece....seats that are in more comfortable section midway up $1000 a piece!

I was not about to pay that kind of money to see Hannah Montana...now Tim McGraw, Elton someone like that I would pay whatever to see them.

Todd was very adament that he was going to get some tickets...well the decision was made that he would get two and later if we could find more we would if not Todd and Lauren would go to Hannah Montana and I would take Miranda to see the Fall Out Boys and Plain White T's---she had previously asked and I said no we were going to see Hannah Montana---never thinking that I would have to sell my soul to get tickets!

Todd was lucky enough to get a GREAT deal on two sucky seats toward the top of the forum and only had to pay $600--yeap you heard me $600---what a racket!

So Todd gets to take Lauren to her first concert to see Hannah Montana. I know Todd is about as excited as spending a whole day with some old lady that talks for hours on end out her dentures and depends under garments! Miranda and I will go to see Fall Out Boys and Plain White T's($35 tickets)--I don't know what is worse Hannah Montana or a Fall Out Boys Concert at Mud Island!

Gone are the days of Rick Springfield(that was my first concert) where you paid $15 for a ticket and everyone enjoyed it!!!
