Serendipity

As I was cleaning house and getting ready to go to the beach I was thinking about a book I read one time about Serendipity. The definition of Serendipity is the effect by which one accidentally discovers something fortunate, especially while looking for something else entirely. I was thinking about the times in my life when serendipity has played a role....
Let's see(in no particular order)

Meeting my husband I definetly was not looking for a husband when I found Todd. I was expecting Todd to be a nice friend that I could hang out with and I quickly found out that I Todd
has something very special in him that I wanted to be around the rest of my life. Todd was defintely a Serendipity for me! Without him I would not be who I am! I LOVE HIM SO MUCH!

After my dad's death I found a serendipity that I never expected to find. I was with my dad during his last days, hours, and minutes. During that time I was able to say and reflect on things in my life. I think through that experience that I thought was going to be horrible due to his death I found something else. I found a love for life. I found that it can change in a moment and you must be ready for whatever comes your way! Life is short you have to live each moment like it's your last.

Another Serendipity moment that has meant alot of me if the meeting of three particular friends in my life. Each one of them I met at jobs I was at. My first job was for an oil company in Vicksburg, MS. At this job I met Royce. Royce and I became very close friends and to this day we are the best of friends. We may not talk everyday and sometimes we go months without talking but we always know we are there for each other no matter what! I love her so much!
Next their is Carol....we met when I moved to Hernando..she was working for Shell Oil Company and we became very good friends. It is the same situation we may not talk alot but we are very good friends and we know that we are always there for each other. Last but not least there is Karen...what are friends for....Karen and I have met at my current job. She has become a very dear friend to me. We are doing a Bible Study together, we spend time hanging out together and we just like to share things with each other. It is amazing how much we have in common....it is like we have known each other all our lives. To my three bestest girl friends in the whole world--I LOVE YOU!

Next another serendipity moment for me was the pregnancy and birth of my child. I got pregnant and didn't expect to find as much joy and love in a child as I have with Miranda. Miranda was born during the time that my brother was very ill and dying. It was a very hard time for me. Through Miranda I was able to see that live does go on after death.....she helped me keep a smile on my face. She is so much like my brother and for me that was a serendipity. I was expecting to have a child I could love and found so much more in return.

I have more serendipity moments but for now that is all I have time to share!

I would love to hear about others serendipity moments!
